From September 2022 I have been studying towards my MA in Magazine Journalism at Kingston University in London.
While New Creatives is undoubtedly the largest project undertaken as part of my degree, I have gained a lot of experience and knowlegde from other aspects as well. Here are some examples:
News and Interview Features:
Undertaking a “Feature Writing” module has given me the opportunity to write a range of articles, from interviewing victims of conversion therapy and the Norwegian conversion therapy ban, to interviewing Ukranian refugees and covering Ukranian arts exhibitions in London.
Fashion Journalism:
As part of my fashion journalism specialism, I have gained skills in fashion features, and trend and catwalk reports. I have also learned about the importance of social media through creating my own blog, gaining experience in video production:
Design:
Most of the last few months have been dedicated to designing the pages for New Creatives in InDesign, which can be viewed here!
I also created a hypothetical magazine cover, including hypothetical coverlines and stories:

I had so much fun filming and editing this video about Kingston’s Not My Beautiful House!
